Aprilia Scarabeo Sponsoring "40 Years Of Sgt. Pepper"

Scarabeo, the authentic, mythical scooter from Aprilia sponsored the “40 Years of Sgt. Pepper”,ten spectacular tributes to the masterful album of the Beatles that has included readings, books, films, shows, and three concerts that will involve over forty artists at the Parco della Musica (Music Park) Auditorium in Rome.

The engagement, promoted by the Commune of Rome and produced by the Foundation of Music in Rome, is one of the most important commemorations of the quartet from Liverpool’s album being organized this year in Europe.

“40 Years of Sgt. Pepper” marks a new milestone of solidarity between the Scarabeo, Aprilia, and music. After the international engagement with Live8, the all-Italian concert with Ligabue at Campovolo of Reggio Emilia, and the Negramaro concert at the Be You Festival in Genoa, the commitment between the Scarabeo and the musical world was once again enriched by the recent tour of Simone Cristicchi (winner of the 2007 Sanremo Festival) and now the Roman show dedicated to the Fab Four from Liverpool. The show has climaxed in a grand musical marathon in the Santa Cecilia Hall at the Parco della Musica Auditorium. It is the creation of Renzo Piano who, by interesting coincidence, “signed off” on the architectural project that conjures up forms of the grand Scarabeo.

Aprilia (of the Piaggio Group) has sponsored this huge musical and cultural event with the Scarabeo: the iconic scooter with elegant mobility that perfectly interprets the spirit of creativity, technical innovation, and avant-garde design, Aprilia trademarks.

The Noale Brand, a symbol of performance and avant-garde technology and design, constructed its youthful wonder thanks to numerous international victories (27 world champion titles) and associated the most celebrated international champions with its legend. It is not by chance that, even this season, Aprilia is already leading both world velocity championships in which it is competing, the 125 and the 250.

Always a protagonist of contemporary design, the Aprilia Scarabeo is an icon that in 2005 exceeded the fantastic milestone of selling more than 750.000 units since its release. All you need is one glance to distinguish it from the thousands, a perfect mix of classic lines and modern cuts that are inevitably designed to become trendsetters. Its classic outline, composed of unmistakable strokes, is not just for design but also hides extremely refined ergonomics and many solutions that facilitate life on board; including the front fairing (adjustable in height in the larger cylinders) or the carrying capacity with an under-saddle compartment, that is larger than any other ever seen atop high wheels.
